Yamaha YBR125 Motorcycle Speedmeter

Chinese manufacturer and supplier, Max Trading, proudly supplies the Yamaha YBR125 Motorcycle Speedmeter. Its upper, middle, and lower structure is rationally designed: the upper layer is the dial display area, the middle layer houses the core mechanical transmission structure, and the lower layer is the fixed mounting base, ensuring both practicality and stability. The annual failure rate of its mechanical components is controlled to below 0.3%, significantly lower than that of later combined instrument panels.

Our Yamaha YBR125 Motorcycle Speedmeter features a "dual-dial independent display" design, with the engine tachometer on the left and the speedometer and fuel gauge integrated on the right. It requires no LCD display module, relying entirely on mechanical pointers and scales to display data, completely eliminating the need for electronic components. As a professional motorcycle accessories manufacturer and supplier, Max Trading proudly supplies the Yamaha Yamaha YBR125 Motorcycle Speedmeter, which features a fully mechanical, all-pointer design.

Yamaha YBR125 Motorcycle Speedmeter

Product Detailed Introduction

I. Core Design: All-Pointer Pure Mechanical Structure, Stable, Durable, and Worry-Free

Our Yamaha YBR125 Motorcycle Speedmeter adheres to a pure mechanical design philosophy, eliminating the need for electronic signal conversion. Its core performance is stable and reliable, perfectly suited to the usage scenarios of the YBR125 model. The product features a clear three-layer structure (upper, middle, and lower), with each layer precisely crafted to ensure an optimal user experience:

1. Dual Dial Independent Partition Design, Accurate and Intuitive Data Display

The Yamaha YBR125 Motorcycle Speedmeter adopts a dual-dial independent layout. The tachometer on the left and the combined instrument panel on the right have clear functions and provide clear readings, allowing riders to quickly obtain core riding data without looking down, balancing safety and convenience. The mechanical transmission structure in the middle layer provides core support for the precise operation of the dials, ensuring that every data point is accurate.

  • Tachometer: The range is precisely calibrated to 0-12000rpm, using a 1/4 circular scale layout. A red warning area is set at 10000rpm, perfectly matching the extreme operating conditions of a single-cylinder air-cooled engine. In the economic speed range of 3000-8000rpm, the scale is finely divided (500rpm per division), while the non-economic range is measured in 1000rpm increments, helping riders accurately grasp the best balance between fuel economy and power output. This design is continued in later combined models, the difference being that this product relies entirely on mechanical gear transmission to achieve precise pointer linkage. This core transmission structure is integrated into the middle layer of the product, ensuring the stable operation of the tachometer.
  • Speedometer: The full range covers 0-140km/h, with an actual effective display range of 0-120km/h, perfectly matching the performance limits of 125cc models. The scale is based on 10km/h increments, with additional 5km/h subdivisions in the commonly used speed range of 50-80km/h, ensuring that the speed reading error is controlled within ≤2km/h in urban commuting scenarios. The internal structure features a precision worm gear transmission system, directly driven by the gearbox output shaft.  It requires no electronic signal conversion, resulting in extremely fast response times with a delay of less than 60ms. This transmission structure seamlessly connects with the mechanical components in the middle layer of the product, further improving the speedometer's response efficiency.
  • Fuel gauge: Located below the speedometer, it uses a classic mechanical float-linked pointer design, displaying fuel level intuitively with a linear "F (full) - E (empty)" scale. When the pointer enters the red warning zone, it indicates approximately 3.4L of fuel remaining. Compared to the low fuel warning in combined instrument panels, this mechanical display is more intuitive and stable. Even with a weak battery, it can still display the fuel level correctly. Its linkage structure extends through the middle and lower layers of the product, ensuring real-time transmission of fuel level data.

2. Layered Product Structure (Upper, Middle, and Lower Layers) for Stability and Durability

In designing the Yamaha YBR125 Motorcycle Speedometer, we focused on structural rationality and practicality, adopting a clear upper, middle, and lower layered design. Each layer performs a core function, comprehensively improving the product's lifespan and user experience:

  • Upper layer: This is the dial display area, integrating the tachometer, speedometer, and fuel gauge scales and pointers. It uses fluorescent coated pointers paired with luminous scales, accommodating both daytime and nighttime use. The surface is scratch-resistant to prevent daily wear from affecting readings;
  • Middle layer: This is the core mechanical transmission area, containing the worm gear transmission structure, gear set, and other core components. High-quality chrome-plated steel and long-lasting graphite lubricant are used to ensure smooth mechanical operation without jamming or wear, providing the core support for the product's stable operation;
  • Lower layer: This is the fixed mounting base, equipped with standard mounting holes, perfectly compatible with the motorcycle model. Made of high-strength metal, it can be securely fixed to the motorcycle handlebars, resisting bumps and vibrations during riding and ensuring overall product stability. II. Materials and Craftsmanship: Meticulous Workmanship, Adaptable to Complex Riding Environments

Max Trading adheres to the principle of "Quality First." Our Yamaha YBR125 Motorcycle Speedmeter undergoes rigorous control in material selection and processing. Every layer, from top to bottom, uses high-quality materials and undergoes multiple tests to ensure it can withstand various complex riding scenarios, balancing durability, water resistance, and impact resistance:

Shell Material: Utilizing a composite shell design of a metal frame and ABS engineering plastic, a high-strength metal skeleton constructs a rigid support system. The outer ABS engineering plastic layer provides excellent impact resistance, easily handling bumps, vibrations, and accidental drops during daily riding. The upper dial shell is specially reinforced to effectively protect the internal scale and pointers;

Sealing Protection: The pointer shaft uses a high-temperature and low-temperature resistant fluororubber sealing ring, maintaining smooth rotation without jamming in both hot and cold environments. The connection between the middle layer and the upper and lower layers uses vulcanized rubber sealing strips to resist splashes of mud and water in rainy weather and short-term high-pressure water jet washing, preventing rust and damage to internal mechanical parts;

Internal Components: The internal mechanical transmission system uses high-quality chrome-plated steel gears, paired with long-life graphite grease. Tested to achieve 80,000 hours of continuous stable operation with minimal gear wear, its lifespan is significantly extended compared to the pure plastic gears commonly used in similar models. This advantage is attributed to the precision craftsmanship and high-quality materials used in the product's middle layer.

Dial Craftsmanship: The dial features fluorescent-coated hands and luminous markers. After absorbing natural light, it can continuously glow for 4-6 hours in the dark. An optional Aqua backlight system provides clarity of hands and markers comparable to a combined LED backlight during nighttime riding. The precise character size (3mm height, 1.6mm width) and clever placement in the golden visual area between 7 and 9 o'clock allow riders to quickly read the dial without significantly bending their heads, meeting safe riding requirements. This design makes the upper display function of the product more user-friendly.

Routine maintenance: simple and convenient, extending product service life

In order to help users better use this product and extend its service life, we combine the upper, middle and lower structural characteristics of the product to provide professional daily maintenance skills, which are simple to operate, low cost and can be completed without professional tools:

Max Trading Motorcycle Speedmeter Routine Maintenance Tips

  • Inspection and maintenance of instrument fixing bolts: Routine inspection of the instrument fixing bolts (located at the lower layer of the product) is required every month. Due to continuous vibration during motorcycle driving, bolts are prone to loosening, which may lead to pointer jamming and abnormal instrument display. When tightening, a torque wrench should be used to precisely control the torque at 5N·m to ensure bolt stability and avoid component damage caused by excessive torque. During inspection, observe whether there is rust on the bolt surface, and perform rust removal and rust inhibitor application in a timely manner if necessary.
  • Pointer lubrication: Special lubricating oil can be added through the oil injection hole on the side of the instrument (connected to the middle layer of the product) every 2 years, with a cost of less than 10 yuan, to avoid dry rotation of the pointer and ensure smooth operation of the mechanical components in the middle layer.
  • Instrument cleaning standards: It is strictly prohibited to directly flush the instrument with a high-pressure water gun when cleaning. High-pressure water flow may seep into the interior through the joints between the upper, middle and lower layers of the product, causing short circuits or damage to mechanical components. The correct cleaning method is to use a soft, clean cotton cloth or dust-free cloth dipped in an appropriate amount of neutral cleaner (such as special electronic device cleaner) to gently wipe the instrument panel (upper layer of the product). For stubborn stains, use the "point-and-stop" wiping method to avoid scratching the surface coating due to excessive force. After cleaning, wipe off residual cleaner with a dry soft cloth and keep the instrument dry.
