Three major processes in plating technology

The first pre-treatment process is the foundation of plating quality. Our factory thoroughly cleans components such as the front shock absorber outer cylinder and piston rod of CG125 motorcycles, and completes degreasing, rust removal, and phosphating treatment in sequence, forming a uniform phosphate coating to enhance the adhesion of the plating and prevent detachment.

Step 2: Core Coating: The CG125 motorcycle front shock absorber adopts a "cationic electrodeposition primer + electroplating/spraying" scheme. The cationic electrodeposition has a salt spray resistance of over 500 hours, the piston rod is plated with hard chrome (above HV800), and the outer cylinder is sprayed with plastic to fit the vehicle model. High-end models can be provided with a DLC coating.

Post-treatment: The plating layer undergoes curing, cooling, and polishing to ensure smooth and even adhesion. Testing: Samples are taken for thickness (8-12μm), adhesion (in accordance with GB/T 13913-2008 standard), and corrosion resistance. Only qualified samples are permitted to proceed to the next stage.

Key steps in the installation process of CG125 front shock absorber

1.The CG125 front shock absorber is divided into left and right parts. During installation, it is necessary to correspond to the left and right connecting seats of the frame and strictly avoid installing them reversely (some models have left and right marks, which need to be referenced). Guarantee that the upper and lower mounting holes of the shock absorber are consistent with the mounting holes of the frame and steering knuckle.

2.Use a torque wrench and apply the torque specified in the vehicle manual (typically 25-35N·m). Always follow the tightening sequence of "positioning first, then tightening" to ensure uniform stress distribution.

3.Clean the shock absorber oil seal lip; a light oil coat avoids leaks. Make sure that rubber components are correctly positioned and undamaged. For shock absorbers featuring tapered rubber pads, a backing plate is essential to maintain stable pressure.

4.For the oil-filled shock absorber, it is necessary to fill it with CG125 dedicated shock absorber oil (generally 10W or 15W). The filling amount must strictly follow the manual, and the oil volume on both sides must be consistent. After filling, press the piston rod to bleed air, guarantee smooth movement, then tighten the upper cover to prevent oil leakage.
